Assignments

Using winthrop.edu, mytjnow.com and heraldonline.com, create a series of web briefs with headlines, italicized blurbs and a two-sentence lead-in with a link to the full story. Write your own headlines, blurbs and leads. Do at least five of these. (Hint: headlines and blurbs are not complete sentences; your two-sentence lead-in should include an embedded link.) Include at least one photo. See if you can embed a video as well.

Community service, vigil to highlight activities for slain leader


A candlelight vigil to honor civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held Monday  at Winthrop University's community concourse. The 7 p.m. vigil is one of several activities being planned for student participation to celebrate King's life.
